Beautifully restored 17th century building in the centre of Sancerre. The apartment is situated above a wine shop/cave internet café selling the wines of local wine grower Philippe Raimbault. The apartment is arranged on 2 floors with a mix of old and new furniture with original oak beams in the bedrooms with a view of the old tower. | |

Sancerre is a medieval village of 2,000 in habitants, situated on a hill in the beautiful Loire Valley. It overlooks several acres vinyards and is pretty spectacular to see in any season. The region alone also sports over 400 wine growers. |

Le Papillon is not just a resting place for a night or two, it's a stay with a personal touch. Any need can be catered for, any demand can be met. Advice on the area, where to go where to eat, and advice which comes from experience. Le Papillon is a relaxing comfortable, non-fussy place to stay. You can come and go as you please. Feel free to relax in the living room with a pre dinner aperitif before discovering the restaurants of the area, all a stroll away. I am Bi/lingual, of English origin, and understand the problems that may arise when visiting abroad. I do not live in the apartment, although I am on hand to answer questions all day as I work in the shop below, where I provide free wine tastings and sell excellent renowned wine. |
