INFORMATION ABOUT ST.SEVER | |
The small village of St. Sever is an ideal base from which to discover the varied region of Lower Normandy. The area is mainly known for its landing beaches such as Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, the American Military Cemetery at Colleville sur Mer, the Canadian Memorial at Juno Beach, and other famous Normandy D-Day landing sites, which are only an hour's drive away. Closer still are some lovely places to visit, such as the world heritage site of Le Mont St Michel, ( 2nd most visited attraction in France) Rennes, Bayeux and its famous tapestry.
