INFORMATION ABOUT FERRARA

The renaissance town of Ferrara, located ideally only 32 miles (52 km) North of Bologna and 62 miles (100 km) southwest of Venice, offers bed and breakfast travelers historic treasures such as the cathedral and Este Castle, along with several other palaces. It is also known as one of Italy's most health-conscious cities where bicycles outnumber automobiles and so it is a great place for those bed and breakfast travelers who enjoy biking and other outdoor activities. Events of interest include jazz and classical concerts, the month-long Busker's Festival which begins in early July and runs until late August, with festivities including street musicians, mimes and story tellers.
