INFORMATION ABOUT PERUGIA
The medieval city of Perugia, capital of the Umbria region, is perched atop a hill and surrounded by pastoral countryside. It offers bed and breakfast travelers art, culture and history away from the crowds, but yet only a one and a half hour drive from Rome and Florence. Some of the important tourist sites include the Duomo, the Cathedral of San Pietro, Lake Trasimeno, the National Archaeological Museum and the Galleria Nazional dell'Umbria Palazzo dei Priori. Bed and breakfast travelers will also enjoy fine restaurants and many events throughout the year such as the Umbria Jazz Festival in July and the Eurochocolate in October.
