My friend and I spent three nights at the Mas du Petit Grava and found the expereince to be the highlight of our two weeks in france. Not only is the Mas a wonderful structure furnished with fabulous antiques from the area, but the hosts are so incredibly kind and welcoming! And lots of fun, too!! We can't say enough wonderful things about Ike and Jim and our three terrrific days with them!! In addition the Mas is centrally located fro visitng all the sigtes of Provence. And Ike is a fabulous cook! Makes all his own preserves and scones etc! We were really fortunate and feel very lucky to have found this B and B just by looking on the website!

I spent 7 days and 6 nights at the Mas. It was one of the best experiences of my entire life. It was my first visit to France and I can't wait to return. My initial reaction, when I arrived, was that it was breathtaking. And upon entering the house, I realized that all of my expectations had been fulfilled. Ike and Jim welcomed me like family, instead of a stranger. I was shown my room, which was tastefully decorated, with various VanGogh prints and antique furniture. After resting, I joined Ike, JIm and Paul(another guest) for a sumptious feast that had been prepared by Ike. This was my introduction to France. The remainder of the time was spent visiting various towns, with Paul and/or Jim and Ike. There were numerous suggestions from the hosts, of areas of interest to visit. One day Jim prepared a picnic basket for Paul and I to take on one our adventures. The Mas du petit Grava, food, wine, and sights were outstanding. Thank you Ike and Jim you are great!!!!!!!!

Jim and (specially) Ike we remember that first email so well!! The only regret is that it took soooo long before eventually made it to your excellent little hide out. Coming in from London it was just so special - easy to find thanx to your excellent map - we could relax, recouperate and return to SA to find ourselves extremely homesick! What do we remember as the best part of our stay? That breakfast!! and the fact that you understood "tourists". Unlike other "locals" we have stayed with, you knew the area, you knew where to send us to....Providing a bed is onething, being the excellent host is your fortè!! Oh and before I sign off - I remember all the wonderful people we met! Around that breakfast table was 10 people and 6 countries! You are abviously doing the right thing as they all agreed we found a little gem! Hugs and a BIG THANX from South Africa Hugo & Anton - your best walking advertisement, but we did manage to shed some of the weight gained at the Mas!!

Staying at Ike and Jim's B&B was the absolute high point of our trip! They treat their guests like the best of friends. The room we had was beautifully furnished with antiques and had a great claw foot tub.The meals they serve, both breakfast and dinner are wonderfull. We met very interesting friendly people there who all felt the same as we did with respects to our hosts. James treats his guests to a very informative personalized tour of the area. He is passionate about Victor Van Gough and has so many stories about his life in Arles. We took the tour with another couple and Nicole and I wanted to buy some of the Provencal fabric specific to that region and James took us to a factory shop off the tourist trail where they not only have a great selection at very good prices but they will make items such as table cloths if you provide the measurements. We heartily reccomend this place-Don't miss it! Bart and Dolores Darnell (Napa Valley, CA.)
