INFORMATION ABOUT FRIDAY HARBOR |
Friday Harbor is the largest town in the San Juan Islands and can be reached via plane, boat or ferry. Visitors to Friday Harbor will be charmed by eclectic offerings which include a historic downtown area, performing arts center, whale museum, many historic bed and breakfasts, not to mention its numerous quality restaurants and shops. Like the island on which it is located, much of Friday Harbor focuses on the 90-plus Orca whales which call the waters west of the island home. Check out Lime Kiln Point State Park, a great place to watch sunsets or whales. In summers, whale watching tours and flights leave from the harbor, located right next to the ferry landing. Other activities to consider include kayaking, winery tours, hiking and biking.
