INFORMATION ABOUT SAN JUAN

San Juan Island is the largest and busiest island in the Pacific Northwest's grouping of islands, which are referred to as the "San Juan Islands." Bed and breakfast travelers can travel to San Juan Island by ferry from Seattle, Anacortes or Port Townsend. Most visitors to the island stay in the town of Friday Harbor, which is a quaint seaport that houses docks, parks, restaurants, shops and galleries. Outdoor activities range from whale watching excursions to kayaking, hiking and biking to bird watching and golfing. Bed and breakfast travelers will also be able to visit the Whale Museum and the San Juan Historical Museum or take a ferry ride to Sydney, BC or Orcas Island.
